This place is a must visit. Outstanding food, the fish, chicken, and lamb were flavorful and tender. The pasta and rice were delicious and really paired well with the meat and green sauce. We also received some stewed potatoes in a tomato sauce that really balanced out the meal. Finished our meal with tea and I have to say it’s an essential order if you like spiced teas. It’s perfectly sweet, warm, and has a strong ginger and spice flavor. The service and ambiance were also great. The servers and hosts took care of our party and all of us can’t wait to return. Overall this is a great restaurant and well worth the visit!

I visited Arlington, VA today and had an incredible experience trying Somalian food! The lamb and rice were simply delicious, and the hospitality was warm and inviting. It's a great local find and a must-try if you're ever in the area.

I was looking for Somalian food as I heard from my sister about it. I loved it. Each and every item was so delicious. Perfect Somalian authentic cuisine. I will come again for the rice and lamb. Everyone working in the restaurant is so kind. They are very generous with quantity of food. Don’t judge the book by its cover. The restaurant look and atmosphere is not good but do not miss thew delicious food for that reason. If you prefer fancy restaurant, then go for take out.

First visit of many for sure! I ordered the chicken and lamb over pasta with side salad to go( I think you get more salad if you dine in. The food was very YUMMY, and flavorful! The hot pepper sauce gave it that umph! Took me from like to love!! I would definitely recommend the lamb so very tender! (ALTHOUGH, I can see me ordering this again and again) I gave it 4* on atmosphere because of all the construction going on outside, but the inside was clean and organized.

The food is highly rated for a reason it’s absolutely delicious. The rice with lamb was incredible. The meat was tender, the house salad was flavorful, and the sauce over the rice was phenomenal. Unfortunately, they were out of the Sabaya and Sambusa, which was disappointing since I was eager to try them. Portion sizes were very big. This place is more of a carryout spot with minimal seating, but the food is definitely worth it.

Hidden gem! This is a no frills spot. A group of four came on a random Sunday looking for a good lunch and after reviewing the reviews, I’m glad to say this place is incredible! Two of us shared the fish plate (we got half rice, half pasta). You also get potatoes, a bottle of water, and a salad included. Fair warning, it’s a lot of food and we didn’t finish it even though we were hungry! My other friends got the chicken and lamb (also did half rice, half pasta). Also, PLEASE try the green sauce - it’s a little spicy but so fresh and absolutely compliments and elevates the food. I will 100% be back!

We had a great experience here trying Somalian food for the first time! Our entries came with a simple Italian salad (nothing to write home about) but also included a free drink. We chose the tea, which was sweet and had plenty of Somalian spices. The fish sandwich was simple but very tasty. The spaghetti and chicken steak came with a spicy sauce, and was surprisingly tasty. The main highlight for me was my sabayad (a Somali bread that reminded me of Indian roti) with chicken saqar. There was plenty of chicken covered in a nice blend of onions, pepper, and spices with enough juice to dip the bread in. It almost reminded me of fajitas. Everything was delicious, and the customer service was great as well. The staff came over to ask about the food and answer our questions. We would definitely come back!
